accessaphone™ allows users to perform the following telephone functions by
using the mouse or keyboard:

Place a call
– accessaphone™ allows users to place calls in the standard way by entering
the desired number, as well as several less conventional dialing methods, such as redial, speed
dial, dialing contacts from the Address Book, and dialing from the Call Log. Additionally, accessaphone™
enables user to dial a new call even while a prior call is currently connected.

Receive Calls
– accessaphone™ allows users to answer calls with the touch of a single key, not
only when the line is inactive, but also while a prior call is still connected.

Hold
– Users can place active calls on hold, storing the active call without allowing either party
to hear the other. Though the call remains active, you can answer incoming calls and dial new calls
when you have a call on hold.

Park
– Users can place a selected call on hold for retrieval from another phone or by another party.
-
Transfer
– User can redirect a selected call to a different destination or extension, for retrieval
by another party.

Conference Calling
– accessaphone™ enables users to speak with parties at multiple locations
simultaneously, while still using such functions as dial, iDivert (Immediate Divert),
transfer and hold.

Call Forwarding
– Users can direct all incoming calls to another phone number, enabling them to
receive all incoming calls at another phone, such as a cell phone.

iDivert
– The user can automatically divert an incoming call to Voice Mail, opening
the line to place or answer a new call.

Call Logging
– accessaphone™’s built-in Call Log allows the user to access a complete history of all
calls (dialed, received and missed) connected through accessaphone™. Call Log contains such information
as time, date and duration of every call, as well as any Caller ID information available when the call
was made, and even allows the user to place calls to callers within the Call Log.

Voice Mail Access
– If voice mail is available, accessaphone™ verbally informs the user when a Voice
Mail message is waiting for them. Additionally, accessaphone™ enables the user to access a Voice Mail
account by storing the Voice Mail extension and password, allowing for quick and easy entry into the
Voice Mail account.

DTMF (sending digits)
– accessaphone™ provides the user with the ability to transmit digits over the
phone for purposes such as entering passwords and navigating through automated answering systems which
require touch-tone input.

Privacy Mode
– accessaphone™’s Privacy Mode turns off speech in cases where the user is entering
confidential numbers such as passwords, social security numbers, confidential telephone numbers, etc.
accessaphone™ also offers the following additional accessibility features:

Internal TTS (Text-To-Speech) Capability
– accessaphone™ utilizes Microsoft® SAPI to provide users with audible feedback regarding accessaphone™’s current state.

Audible Caller ID
– accessaphone™ uses its TTS capability to inform the user of the name and number of any incoming
calls.

AMWI (Audible Message Waiting Indicator)
– accessaphone™ also audibly informs the user if any Voice Mail messages are waiting to be checked.

Who's on Hold?
– accessaphone™ has a unique feature which allows the user to determine how many and which calls
are currently on Hold.

Query System Status
– accessaphone™ also has the power to audibly inform the user of accessaphone™’s current state,
including which line is being monitored, how many calls are active and how many are on Hold, whether
any Voice Mail messages are waiting to be checked, and whether are not accessaphone™ is currently
forwarding calls to another number.

Customizable Audible Notification
– The Text-To-Speech capabilities of accessaphone™ are customizable, allowing the user to utilize
multiple voices, alter the Speech Rate and even disable accessaphone™’s Text-To-Speech in favor
of a third-party Screen Reader.

Compatibility with Assistive Technologies
– accessaphone™ has been designed to work with many forms of assistive technology, including many
Screen Readers, magnifiers and alternative input devices, as well as all Microsoft® Windows
accessibility options, such as Sticky Keys, Magnifier, Filter Keys, Mouse Keys, and the Virtual Keyboard.
